Marketing Tips
Marketing Tip #4: Increase Sales During the Event
Keep Customers in Front of Your Stall (Sampling, Eye-Catching, Broadcasting)
- SAMPLING The Herding effect is important ◦ Don’t say, “Do you want a sample?” It’s easy to say no. Instead, say, “Have you ever tried…?”
- SOMETHING EYE-CATCHING: Put something unusual at your stall – kohlrabi (looks cool), a huge pumpkin, etc. It gives you something to talk about, makes people slow down when passing your stall
While handouts are a great tool, they don’t necessarily generate leads. It’s up to you to collect your visitors’ information as well. If you have an event helper, this is a great job for them. Have your helper focus on collecting leads while you talk about your products or services. (Would you like to sign up for our free newsletter? Would you like to sign up for our free drawing today?)
